Salt consists naturally of potassium and chloride ions, which are packed together as a crystal. Blueish Persian salt contains a high percentage of potassium. This salt is one of the rarest in the world due to the build-up of Sylvite. Sylvite is also responsible for the blue inclusions.
Taste
Salt does not have a smell. it is one of the 5 basic tastes and lends every dish a "salty" note. A particularly exiting salt witha pleasant freshness.
