Spice labelling
Salt consists naturally of potassium and chloride ions, which are packed together as a crystal. Fleur de sel ("flower of salt") is sourced and carefully skimmed from the top of crust of the salt gardens.
Taste
Salt does not have a smell. it is one of the 5 basic tastes and lends every dish a "salty" note. Due to its costliness, it is only used to season food.
