Spice labelling
The small 1-mm- to 4-mm-long and 1-mm-wide yellowish-green to yellowish-brown, aromatic, hairy schizocarp, which is similar to the caraway fruit, is used. Each mericarp has around 5 narrow, lighter, protruding midribs.
Taste
Hot, burning taste similar to thyme that only develops fully when it is rubbed.
